Andrew's Birthday Week

Andrew turned 15 on Saturday.  Not sure how that happened or where the lat 15 years have gone, but it did.  Crazy.

His birthday week was crazy busy too.

This is a long post with tons of pictures…..

We finally got Carter's dexcom on his body.  In theory it should be awesome, but unfortunately it's turning out to be only semi-awesome.  It is about 40-60 points off most of the time.  40-60 points is MASSIVE in blood glucose readings.  It's more about following trends and knowing if he is going to go high or low verses knowing the actual numbers.  We are going to keep trying and see if it works better with time. I'm crossing my fingers.

Living with my parents has some really spectacular perks.

Life is never dull with a teenage boy around.

My RS presidency went to girls camp to bring up dinner Thursday night.

It was really fun…and even more fun that I got to sleep in my own bed after we drove home the same day.

Best of both worlds I tell ya!

The kids followed me to Saylor's swim lessons last Friday.

They even pretended to like each other for the day.

I love when my kids get along!

Friday night we had Grandma and Grandpa Dixon, Michael, Chenele, Ben, Eden and her boys over for Andrew's birthday dinner.

He wanted to go out for steak, but we told him we could feed the entire family steak at home for the price of eating out.

Grandma Dixon made him a brown sugar frosting cake…his favorite!

Happy Birthday my darling teenager!

I was so impressed how he let all the little kids crawl all over him and his cake to take out candles.  He had some serious birthday patience.

Cake is good.

Grandma stories are good too.

One more of those serious perks of living at Grandma's house!

Saturday was Andrew's actual birthday and we packed up the family and drove to Roaring Springs in Boise.

Andrew received a few birthday greetings on instagram from friends. 

So so so funny!

…did I mention they were really cute friends that happen to be girls?

Roaring Springs was awesome.

Pizza, soda, and cool water slides are a good birthday present right?

Most of the time she was sticky sweet and grateful.

Grady was wonderful and even took a nap for about an hour in Steve's arms.

But his favorite is still Aunt JaNae!
